Fishing Birthday Card

Happy Tuesday!  I have a masculine birthday card to share with you that uses a stamp set from Gina Marie Stamps called Fishing Stamps.
I took a piece of white cardstock and stamped images and a sentiment from that stamp set on it using Versafine Onyx Black ink and my Stamp Perfect tool.  I die cut a square around the focal images with the GMD Up & Down In & Out Cut Square die set.  I then colored the fish with colored pencils and inked up water using a torn piece of paper and Peacock Feathers Distress Ink.
The whole white area was cut with a GMD Stitched Rectangle die.  The square with the fish was popped up with scotch foam tape for extra dimension.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

The World Is Your Oyster Card

Hello crafty friends!  Today I have another card to share with you that uses Gina Marie Designs dies from Scrapbook Outlet.

I used the GMD Spring Flower Arrangements Dies cut from white cardstock.  I also embossed them using a rubber embossing mat in my Big Shot.  They were the perfect accent to the saying and papers from DCWV's Blue China stack.
A silver doily, blue crinkled seam binding, and enamel dots from GMD Iris Sparkle and GMD Sophisticated sets were the finishing touches!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

The pretty patterned papers are from DCWV's Fairytale Dreams stack.  I embellished with White Nuvo Crystal Drops, Totally Black Trendy Twine, and washi tape.
Here is the wonderful mood board for the current challenge:

Pink and Gray Wedding Card

Today I am sharing a wedding card that I was requested to create.  The wedding colors were pink and gray and it was an outdoor wedding, so I ran with those ideas to create this card!
The tree die cut file is from SVG Attic's SDS Flourished Spring set.  The wedding couple was an image from Google that I traced in my software.  I dressed the bride up with a veil using ribbon and pearls.  I added a heart die cut (unbranded die from eBay) with the couple's initials and a bow of Totally White Trendy Twine to the tree trunk.
In the top corner, I added more pearls and Nuvo Crystal Drops in Bubblegum Blush.  The double sided paper from DCWV's Fairytale Dreams stack was perfect for turning the corner over for a peek at the back side.
Here is what I did with the inside.  The sentiment is from Pink and Main's Wishes stamp set.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Hummingbird Floral Card

Hello all, today I am sharing this lovely hummingbird card I created using dies from Gina Marie Designs.
I used the GMD Flying Hummingbird die and inked it with Distress Inks.  I also did the same with the GMD Spring Flower Arrangement die that the hummingbird is "drinking" out of.
Other dies I used on this card include GMD Slash Stitched Oval die and GMD Crochet Lace Oval die.  The patterned papers are from DCWV's Watercolor Garden stack.
The sentiment is from CDD Simply Said and was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black.  A double bow of Chocolate Truffle Trendy Twine was the finishing touch!

I used the Teddy Bi-Fold card file from SVG Attic's JGW Beary Sweet set.  The papers are from DCWV's Minty Lace stack.  I embellished the card with GMD Watermelon enamel dots, and Tickled Pink Trendy Twine.
Here is what the card looks like all opened up...
The inside is even decorated!  I love this file!  It can work well for a boy or a girl.

Grandparent's Day Cards

Good morning!  Grandparent's Day is tomorrow and I always make sure that I send out cards for that occasion.  Here are the ones for this year.
I used DCWV's Hello Darlin' stack for the patterned papers and the typewriters were fussy cut from those papers as well.  You can see the flip through video I made of that stack HERE.  I used a GMD Lacey Doily die cut underneath the typewriters.  The sentiment is from CDD Sending Love stamp set and I stamped it with Memento tuxedo black ink.  A few sequins and it was done!

United States Card

Happy Friday!  We made it through another work week...whew!  This card is all about the USA Map Die set from Gina Marie Designs and Distress Inks.  I just love how it turned out!
I created the background by cutting a 4.75x6.75" piece of watercolor.  I added the following colors of Distress Inks on a 5"x7" acetate sheet:  Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Fired brick, Seedless preserves, Salty Ocean, and Mowed Lawn.  I spritzed the acetate sheet generously with water, flipped it on top of the watercolor paper, and put a heavy book on top for 5 minutes so the colors would be nice and vibrant.  When that was dry, I added white acrylic paint splatters to it.
The USA Map Die was cut out of black cardstock and adhered to the front of the watercolor paper.  I added a paper airplane using foam tape and an "airplane path" out of Cranberry Trendy Twine.  The sentiment is one that I created using A Gentle Touch font on my computer.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Butterfly Card with Embossing Paste

Hello all and happy Thursday!  I tried out some homemade embossing paste on colored cardstock and made it into a card.  Here is how it turned out!
For the recipe I used to make my homemade embossing paste, check out THIS blog post.  I used a Mister Huey's Mask (stencil) on this card.  Since it was approx 4x6", it wasn't big enough to cover an A2 base, so I didn't fill the whole stencil with paste.  The cardstock did warp from the moisture in the paste, so I think I will stick with watercolor paper from now on.
I added die cuts from GMD Lacey Doily die and GMD Lace Butterfly die and embellished with GMD Succulents enamel dots.
The sentiment is from Jillibean Soup and I stamped it with Versafine Onyx Black and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Star Baseball Card

Hello all! Happy Wednesday. Today is my day to post on the Victorine Originals blog with this baseball themed card.
I used 3 stamps from the VO Baseball set and stamped the ball in red ink, the bat in brown ink, and the sentiment in black ink.  I absolutely love the vintage look of this stamp set!  The papers I used are from DCWV's Treasures stack.  I used a GMD stitched rectangle die for the background and GMD double stitched in & out cut star dies for the stars.
For embellishments, I used jute ribbon and GMD Succulents enamel dots.
Here is what the stamp set I used looks like:
Remember, we have our Fall Sports challenge going on right now! Here is the inspiration photo for it. You can use the pictures, theme, and/or colors to enter.

Trendy Twine ~ Hugs & Kisses

Happy Tuesday! I am sharing this hugs & kisses treat chute on the Trendy Twine blog today.
I started with a Biggie Candy Chute and filled it with Hershey's Kisses.  They fit so well in that chute!  I wrapped satin ribbon from the Pretty In Pink Ribbon set and Chocolate Truffle Trendy Twine around the chute and tied it in a knot.  I then dressed up a Kraft Tag-Its with stamps from the You & Me planner stamp set, Pink Midnight Trendy Page Dots, more Chocolate Truffle Trendy Twine, white Nuvo Crystal Drops and white gel pen.
Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Embossed Floral Card

Today I am sharing a card that has NO die cutting on it, either manual or electronic...WHAT?!  I know!  This one features the lovely GMD Wild Flower Embossing Folder.
To create the "image", I inked the inside of the embossing folder with Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Worn Lipstick, and Spun Sugar to look like an ombre effect once rolled through my Big Shot.  Once I took the paper out, I distressed it with Black Soot DI on the embossing.  I then distressed the edge of the paper with a scissors.
I added a strip of washi tape and curled the corner to reveal a pink under layer on which I stamped a sentiment from CDD Simply Said stamp set.  I added GMD Sophisticated enamel dots in the bottom left corner.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
